My first class through RISD|CE was InDesign. That is before I knew what concept design was. The project assigned was to create a calendar. I had made a journal that functioned with a 12 month calendar. Through out the piece were these drawings I created by pen, scanned and added color in Photoshop.
At my prelimary portfolio review the journal did not hold up without a concept and my technical skills were pretty bad! I took the drawings and created these five feet by six inches collaged pieces. Probably one of my favorite projects because it is taking something I did and reinventing it.
